We don’t need to Know

No one really needs to know...

Most of our frequented products and services focus on user experience. They're pretty easy to learn and intuitive to navigate. This goes for social media and almost any app.

We don't hear about people wondering how an app works or trying to figure out the algorithm. We know our data is being stored and we can make payments easily. Every update improves our lives a little bit and we don't ask questions.

The same can be said for web3, we will eventually get to the point where the masses don't need to know how it works.

The problem we face at the moment is the open-source nature of web3, the products lack a high-quality user experience. Of course, developers wanted to build with the tech, but the first versions lacked big app funding. They were released anyway and the average user will compare them to Twitter or Instagram.

They don’t stack up.

They may solve a problem, as most Blockchain solutions do, but the experience is still daunting and even preventative for the normal user to try and use. Which leads to questions about the product and Blockchain as a whole. Questions that wouldn't be asked if their problems were solved easily with the applications.

This is what Reddit has done with its NFT avatar collection.

They sold 40,000 NFTs with credit card payments and all of those buyers created a crypto wallet. The majority might have bought an NFT and set up a wallet without even knowing it.

We will soon reach this standard.

The questions and hesitation will soon turn into acceptance purely because people's lives are improving.

Just my two cents on where we're at. What do you think?
